hi well we got back from the costa cruise, the places we visited were good, just do your own tours, plan them using google map before you leave home. The food was the worst we have every had, no choice of where to eat, also we had a serius nut allergy sufferer, who was only advised one night what he could eat, no special diet available, other cruise lines we have been on take much better care of customers. warn all quests that 2nd serving for evening dinner is 9.45pm far too late if you want to do anything else, you do not finnish eating till 11.59pm. next cruise will not be costa. The only good thing was the girl who cleaned our cabin she was great. Evening enrainment was of a very poor quality. Gala night you would not have known any different from normal evening. Drinks on board so expensive, so godbye from skinny and sober custermer.

If you want to have a cruise ship they only speak english on then you choose a english cruise company then you will be sure that you will only have the english language. If you choose like a italian cruise company well they sell cruise to all over the world the same with mscc to. Costa have wonderful ships wonderful food wonderful people from all over the world. we were on the Costa 2 years ago. I had high expectations for food but was utterly disappointed. The people on board thought they owned the ship. ( 2 particular Med nationalities ) Although people are meant to wear t-shirt and shorts to buffet area they still went in to eat in skimoy bi kinis and the men were even worst. They wore disgusting small pants ( not shorts like what's in fashion these days ) Can you imagine eating and being surrounded by loads of hairy bare skin??

What a shame that you did not enjoy your costa cruise, we have just returned form out Costa Serena cruise and loved every minute of it. Costa are resort ships and i do think that your holiday is always going to be what you make and do with it. Holidays are meant to be relaxing and i guess that this does spill over into what we wear as well. There is usually the option to dine in the formal restaurants where you can dress for meals as opposed to the lido buffet areas where the poolside and open decks are far more casual as people are swimming and sunbathing and this is obvious as you approach these eating areas. The onboard info. re the ships usually provides this kind of information so that you can pre-plan your days and eating habits. we usually find that if you smile and engage people with friendly chit-chat that it is reciprocated and we found everyone lovely.
