Destination: Mediterranean
Age: 65+
The ship is italian orientated and attemps to cater for an international clientel results in all anounsements being broadcast in five different lanquages. This becomes very irritating after a time. Directions around the ship are conveyed by flashing lights which we found difficult to understand for instance an arrow pointing upwards could mean sraight ahead or next deck up!Food was of a poor standard particularly the beef which was invariably tough.Arts and crafts classes were on the other hand very a good if not better than we have encountered in many years of cruising. The cabin facilites were good as were the lounges, public rooms and bars.Cabin and diningroom staff were helpful pleasant and attentive. The theatre entertainment was excellent and because the acts were international there was not a language problem. It is probably fair to say that as the passengers were predominately italian other minority groups felt somewhat ignored. In my opinion Costa cruises is not for non italians although the ship itself bears favourable comparison with other cruise lines.
Quality of Food
Most of the meat was tough, We ate in the Roma dining room.
