Puzzled about your comments about Mr. Jones' comments as from the dates it seemed you travelled in March while he and we were on the Costa Allegra in June and sure from your comments you did not return so great progress was made in the three months.

Having been on the same cruise I can't fully agree with the comments from Sue Jacobs. I thought the food was very good overall, food is never served hot enough abroad how we like it. The staff were very good on the whole especially the waiters. I agree whole heartedly about the entertainment, shore excursions and on board facilities. I also think the price of drinks and gratuities were astronomical.

Hi Sue. I don't normally follow reviews of this cruise line but could not help noticing your headline, and anything with one star or less has to be of interest. Well done for your expose of Mr Jones aka WALTER MITTY. I have posted a comment as such to his review. I probably believe that he has mis-read the offer by cruise.com, and thought he would receive a Berlitz Guide for EVERY 200 words. He obviously has an ambition to paper his bedroom with cruise ship reviews. I'd also ignore Elf Glen's remarks. May the Cruise be with you. Richard

I have been on a few cruises now and believe you me there is no pleasing some people - they do just moan for the sake of it. In fact, some people must go to bed wondering what they can moan about next. I have yet to travel with Costa but I am going to think positive and am determined to enjoy myself. For the itinerary I think the price of the cruise is excellent value for money and if the drinks are more expensive so be it. THERE IS NO PLEASING SOME PEOPLE!

I am not quite sure if this is a review of the cruise that Sue Jacobs took, or of the strange Mr Jones? Having just read his "review", I find it hard to believe how anybody could think that Costa would be stupid enough even to employ someone in such an obvious dream world as Mr Jones appears to be, let alone allow him to publish such an obvious work of fantasy on their behalf. His review obviously comes in the form of a diary, and is much too long winded and personalised to be worthy of any serious consideration. There are enough fair and honest reviews of both this ship and its itinerary posted on this site for any level headed person to come to a reasonable opinion about this cruise. I think this one, together with Mr Jones review, must surely represent either end of the spectrum. Happy cruising.
