Costa Hint Expansion

Costa Cruises are seeking to build on their current success by developing new markets in different destinations. The Italian cruise line will reveal the details in September for the deployment of their expanded fleet due in 2010.

UK managing director Marco Rosa did not disclose specific new locations under consideration but did say, "We are looking to some new destinations and should know by September." He also went on to say that the current economic conditions had not affected sales - "We have had a huge amount of late business, I have never seen this before," said Rosa.

The line plans a double naming ceremony of Costa Pacifica and Costa Luminosa in Genona on
5th June 2009. Costa Pacifica will then cruise in the western Mediterranean while Luminosa will go to Amsterdam where it will offer cruises to the North Cape.
