Q:
would anyone be kind enough to let me know what the prices for drinks are on board a costa cruise. I have never cruised before and considering booking a costa cruise and just wondered if the drinks on board were really expensive.

I went on a Costa Cruise on the Costa Europa this summer. The drinks were what you would probably expect to pay in a bar - for example a glass of wine is 4 euros, and the cocktail of the day is 4.75 euros. However, on top of this you always have to pay a 15% surcharge which is considered your tip for the drinks waiter. Hope this helps

We have been with Costa twice and both times where wonderful. The drinks prices seemed very fair to us, we purchased a drinks package on board which covered our wine and bottled water. They have a cocktail of the day for a reduced price and the others are about 6 euros. We have spoken to other cruisers and they agree that Costa drinks are very fairly priced. Enjoy your cruise

Went in April on Costa Concordia, our first ever cruise.Visited Athens, Cairo, Rome. Superb time.Re your drinks question. Yes, a bit pricy, 4.50 euros for a beer and Mateus Rose was 18 euros a bottle at dinner.Tea and coffee free allday, but not in the evenings.Arn,t all drinks expensive when you are part of a "captive audience"? ie:- Test match cricket, top golf, theatres etc.David & Gill Liggin

My wife, daughter and I were on the Costa Victoria in July.
We purchased a drinks package called X1 for just under £50.00 each.
Which included unlimited wine, beer, soft drinks and water by the glass?
During lunch and evening meals, not many people know about this.
It is worth noting lunch lasts between 12 and 4PM.

Sailed on the Costa Victoria in July, the cost of the drinks are average european prices with cocktails of the day at a special price - watch the 15% service charge which is added to everything you charge so can bump up the price, also if you want water make it clear to them that you want a glass of water which is free but they will serve you a costly bottle (especially in the restaurant). Costa drinks are better value than on other ships
